India Canada Relations: Supporters of Khalistan have become a threat to Indians and Canada is emerging as the most dangerous country for people of Indian origin. This has been revealed in a report. The targets of extremists in Canada are people of Hindu and Indian community, this also includes Khalistan supporters. In the last few months, incidents of hate speech and violence against Indians and Hindus have increased in Justin Trudeau’s country.
According to a report by New Delhi-based think tank Center for Integrated and Holistic Studies (CIHS), Khalistan extremists roam freely in Canada, targeting temples and other Indian symbols including diplomats. Due to this, Hindu minorities are intimidated and threatened to create an atmosphere of fear among them. Concern was expressed in the report regarding such actions.
Concerns were also raised about Justin Trudeau
In this report it was said that a leader like Canadian PM Justin Trudeau openly having relations with anti-India people poses a threat not only to the relations between the two countries but also to international security. CIHS has directly held Justin Trudeau responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation for Indians in Canada. The report acknowledged that Trudeau’s attitude had created suspicion. Canada’s Trudeau government approved rallies of pro-Khalistan elements. Not only this, convicted terrorists are praised in India.
Indian criminals are given Canadian visas
It was also claimed in this report that India’s most wanted terrorists are getting visas in Canada. According to the Immigration Department of Canada, in the last few years the number of Indians arriving in Canada remained at the top. After India, the largest Sikh community lives in Canada.
